As part of the celebration of the Sardines and Mango Festival, there shall be free food servings consisting of rice, sardines, mango and bagoong for the local enthusiasts who dare taste the provinces’ most talked about products. The venue for this mouth-watering agenda shall be held at the Zamboanga del Norte Cultural and Sports Center on a Sunday on June 1, 2003.

Other than the Sardines and Mango Festival, the weeklong celebration of the Linggo ng Zamboanga del Norte shall consist of various invigorating and refreshing activities street dancing, food fest, culinary arts competition, industrial tour, trade fair and the ISDA Olympics.

This festivity shall be attended by various businessmen and entrepreneurs investing sardines and mango in the province in a united effort to attract both investors and local and foreign tourists boosting the provincial economy as well as the tourism industry.

According to Engr. Noel Bazan of DTI, the alliance of these sardines and mango growers here in the province has made plans of inviting ABS-CBN Manila, which shall be part of the industrial tour activity and at the same time promoting locally made but world-class products of the whole province of Zamboanga del Norte.

Under the itinerary of this industrial tour activity with the ABS-CBN crew, they shall be visiting the Montaño Foods Corporation, De Mari, Dipolog School of Fisheries, Alano Farms, Fortugaleza Farms and Young Farms.
