Dipolog Motocross Fever PAGE 2 The Thrill of Being Up There!
Members of Dipolog Cycles Unlimited are still together until now and they have been very supportive with each other as a way of preserving the friendship and the camaraderie of the group. This is also because of the efforts of the officers of whose intention is to maintain the good relationship that they have. Carlo and his group were able to join several competitions all over the country. They have started the Beginner Category, then, Open Production and the next is Expert Category which in Dipolog City only Carlo who was able to garner the title and one of the four national riders in the country. The last category is the “Pro” or Professional in the national level in which only very few have acquired because it involves expertise and sometimes age. For him, motocross racing is not a dangerous sport because the rider’s focus during the race is only the goal or the finishing line and nothing else. Unlike riding a motorcycle on the road, that there is really a need to consider the vehicles passing by and the people that surround you.
Carlo’s advise to all speed riders especially to the young people whose desire is to become a “Champion” in motocross is to be physically fit always and stay away from drugs because it can never help but will only drive you crazy and become a loser. He added that if one dreams to be a winner then he should struggle; keep the self-discipline and constant practice.
“Obviously, some
people may not understand what you really like and
sometimes refuse to understand, but if only you
have the passion of what you are doing and that
you believe that there is nothing wrong doing it
then go on and try your best to prove that you
just made the right choice”, the expert said
