This is the Martinez house located at the Martinez compound, Dipolog City. Aimee and her family treasured their home very much as a symbol of love, devotion, patience and success.

Filipinas qualify the screening in the search for Miss Bb. Pilipinas 2001 beauty Pageant and she is no other than Ms. Aimee Su Martinez.

Aimee is a Dipolognon, 23 years old, with a total height of 5 feet and 71/2 inches. She graduated her Bachelor of Science Major in Chemistry in the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and presently connected at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) National Office, Manila. She is the daughter of Architect Jose Martinez, III, one if not the best Architect of Zamboanga del Norte who created the Provincial government’s pride: the Zamboanga del Norte Convention Center; the AB Amatong Civic Center and many other gigantic and sturdily constructed buildings in Zamboanga del Norte and Mila Su, a daughter of a wealthy Chinese businessman in Mindanao.

At eight months old, Aimee was a very smart kid who’s willing to do anything without hesitations. She wants to gain knowledge of and see the world around without fear because she knows that she belongs in a very protective family. She is familiar on lots of things at a very early age and she sure is a fast learner.

For a very short time she learned to take her first step while she and her family take a stroll around the Magsaysay Park, Dipolog City. Aimee is a very happy, intelligent, smart, beautiful child anyone would described as “the Barbie Doll”. She’s witty and very artistic just like her father. Born with a golden spoon, Aimee is never snobbish or conceited. Her family especially her mother trained her and her brothers to live like an ordinary citizen who works full time to earn a living. Though they are financially stable, they seem very thrifty which came from her mother’s ancestors.

At age four, she is considered one of the cutest girl in town that is why she had so many friends and admirers. She made herself extraordinary as she showed the City her unique talent and ability that only gifted children possessed. She is funny and humble and happy-go-lucky, incredible and responsible.

Aimee graduated in her elementary education with flying colors. With her are precious souvenir delicately kept by her mother as a symbol of her achievements in life.

These are few of Aimee’s treasured medals and awards during her elementary grade.

She looks very pretty in her high school toga obtained before her graduation. Aimee has grown up fast to become a beautiful and charming young lady capable of attracting male gentlemen in a crowd.

Aimee as a full grown young lady fascinate men everywhere, yet she’s not afraid because her brother Jor-el (architecture student) always comes to the rescue before any of the guys set their hands on her. Like her, Jor-el also invites admirers.

In a telephone interview conducted by the Daily Dipolognon today, Aimee revealed that she joined the Beauty Pageant in order to boost and strengthen both her internal and external personality as well as mental ability.

ANDAM, TOLOSA AND QUINZON WON THE THREE BINIBINING PILIPINAS TITLES

Miss Zorayda Ruth Andam, Gilrhea Quinzon, and Maricarl Tolosa won the Search for Miss Binibining Pilipinas 2001 Beauty Pageant Coronation Night held tonight at the Araneta Coliseum hosted by Miss Ruffa Gutierrez, Mr. David Bunevacz, Mr. Dingdong Dantes,

and Miss China Cojuangco with the special participation of Mr. Janno Gibbs and the A1. It is the most prestigious beauty pageant ever held in the Philippines with twenty-six lovely young candidates vying for the three coveted beauty titles, the Miss Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, Miss Bb. Pilipinas-World and Miss Bb. Pilipinas International.

With candidates coming from different parts of the country, the hunt is on for the minor awards. The search for Miss Lux Super Rich goes to contestant number 7, Miss Zorayda Ruth Andam. Next was for Miss Creamsilk Extraordinary Hair, Miss Ponds Beautiful Skin, Miss Close-up smile, and Miss Red Bull Supreme Energy with contestant numbers 5—Miss Jenie Manuel; 18—Miss Gemma Louise Heaton; 12—Miss Maricarl Tolosa; and 22—Miss Aline Ramirez won respectively.

A show of wit as the candidates answer the final interview question "What is the major difference between the Filipino woman then and now?".

The winners of the first two major awards, the Miss Photogenic and Miss Swimsuit were contestant numbers 15—Miss Jeanie Andersen and 10—Miss Maricar Balagtas. Before the long gown competition preceded Mrs. Stella Araneta and the orphaned kids were being featured together with the Bb. Pilipinas 2001 Beauties. Then the winner for the Best in Long Gown Competition went to contestant number 9—Miss Angie Yambao.

Another minor awards presented before the semi-final search were the Miss PAL Sunniest Personality and Bb. AVON which set out to contestant number 7—Miss Zorayda Ruth Andam, Miss YEHEY Internet pass on to contestant number 20—Miss Aimee Martinez, for Miss Talent second Runner-up again goes to contestant number 7 while the first runner-up went to contestant number 24—Miss Jeremie Antiporda. The winner for the Miss Talent was contestant number 12—Miss Maricarl Tolosa. Before the semi-finalist have been chosen, Miss Friendship was given to contestant number 4—Miss Andrea Angela Silverio.

Finally, the ten semi-finalists for the Miss Binibining Pilipinas 2001 Beauty Pageant were decided to the ten lucky contestants. They were contestant numbers 7, 4, 19, 22, 26, 21, 8, 12, 10, and 15. Before the magic five had been chosen the international band known as the A1 performs the grand stage and captures the attention of the crowd with their majestic voice and gorgeous looks.

To further the suspense, another award was being given to one of the ten finalists by the Department of Tourism, and the award went to contestant number 7—Miss Zorayda Ruth Andam. Next, they announced the five lucky finalists for the three beauty titles. They called on contestant number 10, then 7, 8, 12 and 21 accordingly. Headphones were being placed in their ears to make sure that they could not hear the question being asked before their number was being called.

After the question and answer portion, a farewell walk among the three 2000 Bb. Pilipinas Beauty Pageant titlist took place. At last, the second runner-up goes to contestant number 10—Miss Maricar Balagtas and the first runner-up was contestant number 8—Michelle Reyes. The Miss Bb. Pilipinas International, Miss Bb. Pilipinas-World, and Miss Bb. Pilipinas Universe went to contestant numbers 12, 21 and 7 which were Miss Maricarl Tolosa, Miss Gilrhea Quinzon, and Miss Zorayda Ruth Andam respectively.
