DR. HORACIO BERNUS VELASCO was born on March 18, 1960. He got married to Fenita Hamoy and blessed with 2 kids. He graduated Doctor of Medicine in 1985 at the Divine Word University and became a licensed physician in 1986.

            He is a private practicing physician in the field of family medicine and general surgery.

            He was elected as City Councilor for 3 consecutive terms from 1992 – 2001 and was chosen among the council members the chairman of the committee of finance and appropriation and community of rules of ordinances he is decided to concentrate back to his past practice his medical profession for a short while on May 24 induction he again run as city councilor and with luck he got the highest vote among the 21 candidates who run a city councilor.

            At present council he was chosen the majority floor leader, chairman of the committee on rules and regulations of ordinance committee on health. He is a new member of various medical associations like the Dipolog City medical society Philippine Academy of Family Physician, Philippine, Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physician and World Organization of family physician.
