GOOD FRIDAY CLIMB ON LINABO PEAK

 The Katkat Sakripisyo was successfully done last Holy Friday in 3003 Steps, Linabo Peak despite of the heavy rain in the early morning. Hundreds of people came to visit and joined the Via Crusis (station of the cross), which was headed by the City Government of Dipolog officials and Linabo Barangay officials.

The event was started with the reenactment of the life of Jesus when He was judged and was crucified which was performed by the Linabo Choir Members. The reenactment had made the event meaningful and had even touched the emotions of most devotees.

It was already a tradition of some Dipolognons to join the Katkat Sakripisyo every year. This time, it was noticeable that majority of the population present in the said event were the teenagers. Group of different classes of people were there. Others had survived in climbing the stairs to Linabo Peak but some did not.

Because of the heavy rain in the morning, the way to the peak where there are no concrete stairs became slippery and dangerous. Others had even promised not to climb again while they were on their way to the peak but all those promises were forgotten especially when they reached to the top and completed their penitence for this Lenten season, as they call it a success.
